So, to get this thread back on track.......

This thread has a track?  You mean like the kiddie ride at Disney Land?  'Cause I'm pretty sure we keep going in circles.

I'm surprised the moderators haven't marked this thread as spam.

Make that Spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans, spam, spam and spam.

The Lion King may have had "The Circle of Life", but this thread has "The Circle of Shamelessness" or should that be Worthlessness?  ;)

Yeah, but to be fair, 12 minutes of that was spent talking about bikes...    or is that just me?  ???   ;D

Don't let anyone tell you that this thread is worthless or shameless. This forum is a diverse community tied together by a common enthusiasm for things SOHC4.

When I want to visit my tech-head mates I look at one of Hondaman's threads, and when I want to visit the go-faster set I look at one of Mike Riecks threads, when I need a good laugh I visit one of Edbikergay's "political" Bush butt-kissing threads, and finally, (but not necessarily in any order) when I want to mix it with the forum's wastrels, I come here.

I just click my heels three times and say "there's no place like shameless home", and as if by magic, I'm here!  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

"Crazy is a very misunderstood term, it's a fine line that some of us can lean over and still keep our balance" (thanks RB550Four)

Cripes. I go away for two days, and when I get back I find that not only is this thread still going, but it has grown by 4 pages. I'm thinking that the SPBT is in severe danger of being scooped.

So, I'm going to be shameless.......as riding instructors we try not to be overtly derogatory about any motorcycle sub-type. We refer to these bikes as 'sport bikes' (Dr.Evil finger quotes here), ridden by 'sport bike riders' (Dr.Evil finger quotes). The stunts they pull are 'creative ways of managing and controlling the excess of horspower at their fingertps' (Dr.Evil, ditto). The protectiveness they feel toward their machines is natural parental feelings toward a loved one. (DEFQ as necessary)

If you want to see a grown (young) man cry, tell him that the mods he has made to his 'sport bike' (DEFQ) will inevitably lead to him being pulled by the local federales, AND not being allowed to go out on his final road test.

OOOPS. This IS the SPBT!! ;) ;) ;) ;)

Ha ha ha ha ha. That was truly good, Nick. I was just thinking about how the two threads have merged in my brain. I think you pushed it over the top.

Lookout Forum! When the Legion of Shamelessness come to your thread, coherency and sensibility will evaporate.

Still chuckling, I am. :-)
