I've had coons as pets twice (moms got run over and we raised the young 'uns until they were big enough to survive.

They are great animals.

A friend of mine had a coon as a pet and it would sit on the floor like a person, with it's legs spread eagle and then wipe it's butt on the carpet every time it pooped. Damn thing..

When I was a kid,A friend of my dads had a pet racoon that he kept in a cage out in the garage.I remember them tellin me that the coon got out of the cage and got up into his really nice ski boat and ripped the hell out of the seats. I don't remember what happened to the coon but would assume he got rid of it.
