OMG!
This whole jet thing is confusing.
I feel like I really don't know anything at all. It's like someone asking me a question in the cosmetics aisle. "Listen broad, I dunno, I just poke at my eye with this thing here."
While to some people it will never make sense.... You have to remember that once you do it, most likely you will never have to do it unless you want to.
My 78 750 was a total mess when I bought it (15 years ago). I put some effort into it just to ride it home. Got it running smooth as can be. Since then I have pulled the carbs of god only knows how many times trying to finally get the PO's #$%* undone. Runs like a charm everytime.
I suppose when I finally do get pods or v-stacks or an airbox I'll have to rejet. But right not with nothing on the carbs and just the 4-1 collector I'm confident that it will start and run everytime.
Now I just need to get the engine back together and into a frame.
It's been almost 7 years.
