Radam, thanks for that one. It reminds me of my uncle. He was a member of a biker gang in California during the mid '50s -- some time before gangs were absorbed by the Outlaws and Hells Angels to become purely criminal enterprises. Like his service in Korea, he only shares bits and pieces of that time. I do know that he once used the chain he wore for a belt to break up an attempted rape, but I only know this because I heard it third hand. All he tells me is that he was sgt. at arms, and he kept the other members out of trouble.

My uncle has the outlook of an old school biker. He'll walk miles to help someone out, but pity the idiot who won't leave him alone.

If I can ever get my sassinfrassinmuther bike running, I'm making a road trip to see him.

I think Schmthaus actually has it. It'd run like a raped ape if I had cafe'd the frame. I've spent a couple of days debugging the ignition (cyl's 1/4 won't fire). It looks like the controller on my Dyna 2K is shot. The unit is way past warranty, but I can send it back to Dyna, and they'll replace it for $125 if it is actually broken. But that would involve waiting. The non-waiting solution involves ordering a new Dyna 2K. That'll cost more money. What I got is poop. I'm pondering on a new unit.

I should have checked with Z1 Enterprises. They have the Dyna controller unit for sale by itself. That saves lots of bucks, but not poop! I'll have it by Friday.

If you've never ordered from Z1, (z1enterprises.com), they are super excellent.
