I had to look twice.  I thought that cereal box said "Kids-FurRy Adventure Kit".  Reminded me of a post on another thread!

Not all airports are named after dead pilots......

Dulles is named after the CIA guy who put the Shah of Iran back in power back in 1953 after an overthrow of his government......

Needless to say, the Shah was not as lucky in 1979.

Life sucks and then you die.

Life sucks and then you die.

Some have been heard to say "life's a #$%*, then you marry one, then you die".

Not me, I might add.

Did somebody say Pus?  ???

Pus, glorious pus!
Scabs dripping with pus-turd!
While we're in the mood --
Green, smelly and crusty!

Pus pudding and saveloys!
What next is the question?
Rich gentlemen have it, boys --
In-di-fection!

Pus, glorious pus!
We're anxious to try it.
Three banquets a day --
Our favourite diet!

Just picture a great big scab --
Fly-blown or infected.
Oh, Pus,
Wonderful pus,
Marvellous pus,
Glorous pus.

With apologies to Lionel Bart, and OLIVER! ;D

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Still can't top the classic:

Yellow-matter custard  dripping from a dead dog's eye...

Aaaah, the summer of 1967. Happy memories.

The lyrics were considered very controversial for the time, not least 'you've been a naughty girl, you left your knickers down".

sad to think it could be true, but for those of you who don't recognize those lyrics -
 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Am_the_Walrus

To understand this song you must take some LSD.  On LSD this song is normal, like Mary Had a Little Lamb.

I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together.
See how they run like pigs from a gun, see how they fly.
I'm crying.

Sitting on a cornflake, waiting for the van to come.
Corporation tee-shirt, stupid bloody Tuesday.
MAN, you been a naughty boy, and let your face grow long.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob

Mister City P'liceman sitting
Pretty little policemen in a row.
See how they fly like Lucy in the Sky, see how they run.
I'm crying. I'm cry------------ing,
I'm crying. I'm cry------------ing.

Yellow matter custard, dripping from a dead dog's eye.
Crabalocker fishwife, pornographic priestess,
Boy, you been a naughty girl you let your Knickers down.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob

Sitting in an English garden waiting for the sun.
If the sun don't come, you get a tan
From standing in the English rain.
I am the eggmen, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob goo goo g'joob

Expert texpert choking smokers,
Don't you think the joker laughs at you? (ho ho ho, he, he he, ha, ha, ha)
See how they smile like pigs in a sty, see how they snied.
I'm crying.

Semolina pilchard, climbing up the Eiffel Tower.
Elementary penguin singing Hare Krishna.
Man, you should have seen them kicking Edgar Allan Poe.
I am the eggman, they are the eggmen, I am the walrus,
goo goo g'joob, goo goo goo g'joob, goo goo g'joob, g'goo goo g'joob g'goo
(rhythmical speaking along with juba's).
Juba juba juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba, juba juba. Juba juba.....
(speaking)

--Repeat (eventually juba's will stop) and fade until end.--
during the fade out background vocals:
[Simultaneously:] 'Everybody smokes pot' and 'Oompa, oompa, stick it up your joompa' [jumper]

Talk to the youth of today about the Beatles and you always get one of those "Oh my gawd, not another GHOF prattling on about how good music was when he was young" looks.

At least the Beatles did not have to resort to bad language to put their point across!!

I don't necessarily disagree with you, but did those lyrics have a point to get across?

BTW, I'm 50.  I've had to explain what "records" were.

Hoo Haa! Is throwchain making a bold statement by making his first SOHC forum post to the Thread of Ultimate Shamelessness?  Has this happened before?  Do we have a procedure for handling this?  Could this be a long time member operating in disguise?  How would we know?  Would handwriting analysis help?  And who is the one of of five dentists surveyed who recommend sugar gum for their patients who chew gum?

That dentist was a friend of the doctor that said smoking was good for you. By the way the gum chewer died from aspartame poisoning. Too bad, really.
