How quickly we forget the Catholics (i.e. Irish), Buddhists &/or Shintos (Japan's suicide bombers) and an assortment of other various religions. Terrorism is not dictated by religion (although I think the nature of religion in general leads to extremist views) nor condoned by any religion's teachings. A terrorist is a product of many environmental influences as well as a certain internal susceptibility to those preying on the weak in order to further their personal motives.

No more justified is GW Bush and his emotionally provocative lectures to teens convincing them to join the military so he can send them to kill others than is a member of a terrorist group's attempt to recruit additional fighters for his cause. It's merely a question of method. Both approaches create casualties, destroy property, create fear, and seem to be driven by a need to convince the other side that your point of view is the ONLY acceptable view.

Whoa! I wasn't expecting to say that much all day. Must need another cup of coffee.

No mate, I didn't forget. I come from an Irish Catholic background, so I never considered Northern Ireland's armed struggle for independance from an invading country "terrorism".

If that was the case, then I guess Washington, Jefferson and co could also be added to the terrorist list? Cheers, Terry.

That was kinda my point Terry. It just really depends on a point of view. I think they see it that way too. Not that I agree with it at all, just want to make sure another perspective was represented. My coffee is kicking in now so I'll leave this last thought...
