Shouldn't that be;

What a wonderful bird is the Elephant,
It flits from bough to bough,
It builds it's nest
 in a Rhubarb bush
And whistles like a cow!

and in the limericks thread?

Don't fuuck with my families poem, 333, and no, it's not a poxy limerick, that "There once was a man from Nantucket" shiite just cheapens the spirit in which I shared this wonderful home-grown example of pointless poetry........................  :P
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

I'd say there must have been SOMETHING homegrown involved in the creation of that poem. ;D

Terry, it seems to me that if it is a family poem, sheep would be mentioned somewhere.

under this cover
the ewe and lover
pranced untill they forgot whence they came

Thass not bad mate, shameless and pointless, but not bad at all. (mental note to Terry, claim Crashy's verse as your own, but don't tell anyone, ok?)  ;D

Yes,  that's why I love this place!

If I said that same thing to 99.99% of the rest of the world they would look at me like I was a probing alien  ;)
