C'mon Goon... cheapest....... really? Somehow with the mandatory rust and bad rear main seals I would think that it'll nickel and dime you to death. A 4 bolt is a plus though.  ;D

You obviously don't know how to treat your Ford. Gotta ignore it and she'll last forever!!!  :D

DODge= crazy expensive parts.
Ford next to crazy expensive parts, and will happen one after another+ serpentine belt shread+ new idler pulley then new tensioner pulley, then power steering pump, then water pump, frame cracked on both sides above rearend= beer for the metalshop welder and my time to cut .25" mild steel scab plates with the fun plasma, valve cover that is still leaking, inside door latch that just broke a week ago( now I gotta roll the window and open from the outside :'( ). Rear end needs service bad, u joints are on the list for spring tune up... Ford= nickel and dime to death. Don't even get me started on the 2000 lincoln ls fully loaded v-8 that is a money pit, it went away with a 200 windstar van that I had just bought both were traded for the dodge.

My chev is and has always been the best and cheapest to me, even after driving it like I stole it on a daily basis ;D ;D

Don't get me wrong though I like my cb750 most, it gets to sleep in the house. My dad's v-rod sleeps in his living room :P

Only time i ever saw a F150 that bad was after we pulled it out of the lake.

I got mine from a junkyard. Paid $100 for it. and 5 years later have maybe spent $1000 total.

350,000 miles. No major engine work.

Guess I'm lucky.

But wait... No.

Had an 82 F100 with the 300 I6 and 3sp on the column. My father was the original owner. That had 200,000+ miles on the original head gasket.

But then again we take care of our stuff so.... Could be an isolated case. I know most PO's don't do #$%*. So you got me there.  ;D ;D

I do like old Chevy's though. But the have to be reeeaaaallly old.
