Hot damn, just scored a 2.8Ghz Dell from my sis- she said the computer just stopped working some time ago and I figured it was probably just a fried power supply- I was right!!! Sweeeeeeet! Time to dump the ancient Gateway I got from my old employer.

Time to get some Ram.......  :)

those chucks are white {barfs} and to the untrained eye, (everyone but you) they are exactly the same as the $40 ones at the shoe store.

why would you want vintage chucks? shoes touch the ground... ALOT!
when I was little my chucks had a clear coat, that would crack and turn yellow.
that might've been my dad doing that.

I'm not sure if I should splurge for the DDR PC3200 1GB sticks of RAM- 2 sticks for $80 seeing as I don't have a job at this moment. It has 512MB total in it now and can run two monitors- will apps and other #$%* in general run better and mucho faster with 2GB of RAM as opposed to 512MB???

Damn Goon, never had any kids with a lady myself but the professional advice says it is better to probably not stay together just for the kids. Rugrats are pretty smart and can pick up on those things- kids then think it is OK to stay in a relationship even if it is not working- bad things can happen in those type of relationships.

Thanks for the offer Spikey, 256MB per side is what is in there now (PC3200).

I think I may sit on it, install all my crap on it and see how it runs- and maybe get a job before I splash the pot for the max out on RAM.

on another hardware related note ... my iPod died , and i was gonna trade it in for a discount on a new one .. buuuuut  i thought ripping it open and seeing what was going on inside there was worth the 10 percent they woulda given me for it

so if you've ever wondered what an iPod's guts look like
