*sigh* you didn't get the memo?

I have a 5+ page driving record in both counties I've lived in...

I have a lead foot and I drive very aggressively, apparently they frown on that.
also, the lie detector test where they ask you how much and what drugs you've done...

When you tell them you have no problem with weed while you're in the testing room, and that you've done a good amount acid, extacy, shrooms, and narc pills in the past.... it just wasn't for me I guess

and the constant skinny eye I got from other students and the asst. instructor while I was in class made me remember why I have no little respect for cops in general. They're always trying to find fault in someone. even if that fault is something completely benign.
everything I say is pure speculation and

PT Assist school is hard as I understand it but worth the work. There are jobs everywhere for them too. Good luck. Yeah, wear a shirt.  ;)

IC... I think you might do better taking classes in some advanced welding, or fabrication, etc etc.  and looking for jobs that use those skills instead.  While the idea of being a PT might really interest you, it could also burn you out pretty quick.  I'm not just talking about decrepit old folks who have had a stroke and need to "relearn" how to use a right or left side that they really mentally doesn't know exists... but also super whiny 20-30-40 somethings who would rather #$%* from the chair or a bed and use it as an excuse to fail instead of getting up and doing the best they can.  At the end of the day, there are #$%*s everywhere to deal with, and if I had half the mechanical aptitude you have, or the physical strength, or if I was a dude, actually, I'd go with welding/fabrication/advanced machining just because if I had to deal with an #$%* they'd be a coworker or manager instead of a patient I'm supposed to be helping. In health care you have to smile and take it a lot of the time no matter how awful people treat you.  I really, really considered being a PT instead of Xray, it's an easier program to get into... but I realized that I just can't be someone's personal cheerleader all the time. Don't have the energy or the optimism.

A lot of people are like big children, unfortunately.
My sis has encouraged me not to go into the industrial fields because she has and she gets the "You're a weak little girl taking a MAN'S position" #$%* all the time.  She's an incredible painter/metalworker and does some great bodywork welding, but she still gets the #$%* end of the stick being a chick in those businesses.  I'd take your XY advantage and run with it. At the end of the day, you might luck out and be able to fab bike parts over your breaks, too.
