Are you sure? Because I can see you laying up another batch of sidecovers then donning the rose colored glasses, headphones, and picking up the guitar to sing a few rousing chorus's while waiting for them to cure....

Indy 333, don't worry about monopolizing the bar if you don't mind me suggesting that throwing some poop in the fire might fix it.

(I didn't think you'd mind.)

I just got a call this morning for a one week contract job in Puerto Rico for later this month.  I will be staying here with flight and all other expenses paid.  I tried not to sound to excited. :D  Putting in two small video conference rooms for a large med-tech company. We will be staying on the east coast near some good snorkeling so my gear will be packed. Looked at an aerial photo of the resort area and it looks like there is a reef off the point.
Word.
San Juan is titties. I stayed in Ponce, its kinda ghetto there....
Brought back 1.5 gal of home made rum though. Puerto Rican Moonshine!

Watching a crappy movie at home is better than watching a crappy corporate safety or productivity movie at work.

While I was working at a large snack company, which I'll not name except to say that the company manufactures Fritos, I worked with a guy named Gino. While our manager videotaped the warehouse safety video, Gino kept strolling into the background while doing the verboten, such as lifting heavy objects at the waist. Our manager never caught on, and it was a hoot.

I miss Gino. He was the only man I ever worked with who had been convicted of murder. In Gino's defense, he said it was really a case of manslaughter.

Yay! Rat Stinker award of the month goes to srust!!! Yay!

Congrats and good on ya. A friend and I tried to get different startups going in Jamaica and Anguilla. I'm sorry they never worked out, but at least the travel was expensable.

Chiminy talk???? Dont even get me started about my furnace. FYI it is a Ford and every time a tech comes in to service it they say "Wow, dont see these anymore"

now for the jukebox. Here is my quarter. (no that is not me in the vid)

Before you make a music video in your bedroom, at least make the bed.

Space on this page is going fast.

I just got the bill from the fair city of KC- $930+ dollars for a ten minute taxi ride and an iv and insurance does not cover a #$%*ing dime.  >:(

What a #$%*ing racket.  ::)

It is??? Not here Mick - a lot of (elderly) people take out ambo insurance to cover the unexpected costs, and some medical insurance companies will cover some of it in their policies, but generally not all of it. Well, that's my understanding anyway.

Sorry mate, thats just in Queensland....

Quote
Here in Queensland we pay for our ambulance services by way of a levy which is paid each quarter, rather bizarrely I think, as an additional charge on our electricity bills. It is called “Community Ambulance Cover” and ambo 300x198 Ambulance Fees in Australia State to Statecosts around $24 per quarter. So for less than $100 a year, we have full cover for ambulance services not just in Queensland, but nationwide.

Covers us nation wide....... ;)

That sounds like a reasonable thing. Here we have a similar levy but called "emergency services levy", but have no idea what it covers, mostly CFS and SES stuff I reckon.....or politician long lunches... ::)

When I was air lifted, the ambulance ride from the LANDING PAD to the ER DOOR cost $350!  I told them I would have walked. for half the money. If you can't get their on your own, take the ride.  Talk about rape though.

My helicopter ride was $1200..I had a $550 bill from the ambulance guys who showed up AFTER the fire department guys had cut me out of the car and did all the prelim work, then they called in the helicopter..the ambulance guys did absolutely nothing except say "yeah, ya'll should call life flight..."  and that was in '95, I'm sure the increased fuel costs these days make that seem cheap...
