Okay, this one takes the cake. I'm watching HGTV with the wife, and a commercial comes on for one of their new shows. Apparently, Vanilla Ice has had such a great career in Hip Hop music that he has been working as a building contractor for the last 10 or 15 years. Well now he has a new remodeling show on HGTV. And you guessed it, it has a Hip Hop theme.
Not only will I not be watching it, but I won't even suffer through the commercial for it again.
i watched something on him and hes been flipping houses... his contracing company is making him even more rich... from what i understand he invested most of his money from his rap career and is doing better off now than he was then
Lesson for rap artists: Getting shot bad. Investing wisely good.
I'll tell ya, Goldrush is my favorite new show. Won't miss an minute. Don't go for the dramatic Discovery channel teaser. Here's mine:
A group of greedy, moronic, unskilled and unaware miners bring their families along to grizzly and insect ridden Alaska where the men operate machinery that is way beyond their capabilities. Antics and hilarity ensue as the men display an incomprehensibly complete lack of common sense.
Favorite quote from the last episode (said by team member about himself after deserting the team):
"It's hard to be a team player when you're a self-starter."
Huh?
