Topic: Fuse Hot To Touch

Hey i have a 1973 cb350f with a single fuse system on it. The bike started going through fuses once a month since may. When it first blew a fuse, the hi-low beam light switch broke (the plastic inside the switch cracked in half making the switch inoperable).

I went for a ride yesterday, turned the ignition on and no power. I checked the fuse and it was blown. I put a new fuse in and turned the ignition to make sure the power worked. The power worked but the fuse was very hot to the touch. I am thin king the fuse shouldn’t be hot. Is this correct? If the fuse is hot does it mean that there is a short somewhere in the bike?

take the handle bar control that houses the hi/low switch apart and see what's what.

if the fuse get hot..there is a bad konnektion/korosion in the fuse holder....normalu it blows before it get hot..if it are overloadet...so klean the holder to klean metal..or bay a new ...dont think there is any problems in the bikes elektric..but that can be thekked..after the fuse holder problem is kleare aut..

Had the same thing on my 350f.  It was corrosion on the fuse holder
