Hi guys from Italy ! hope you can help me !
I have a problem with the gearbox of my cb750 k0.
The problem is with the 2nd gear slipping. I did check the gearbox, forks and the drum.
I had also bought a gearbox with more gears, I reassembled the engine on the chassis and after several tests the second came out almost always (problem got worse).
Taken from despair, without even opening the right cover of the selector I put the engine down. With the engine on the bench I opened the left gear cover and I found the selector parts assembled incorrectly.
in particular in the sequence the spring n.3 is used twice, once correctly and once mounted instead of the number 7. according to you it is possible that the cause of the slipping gear is due to the wrong operation of the selector with these pieces?
with the engine on the bench everything works perfectly and the selector works great , I do not think that the spring mounted badly can be the cause of the problem but I would run away a lot of all reassemble and then have the same problem?
does anyone have any idea if the above-described inconvenience could be the cause of the slipping of 2nd gear?
sorry for my bad english !
