Musical: Annie
Song: Tomorrow (Reprise)

[ANNIE]
Just thinkin' about
Tomorrow
Clears away the cobwebs,
And the sorrow
Till there's none!

When I'm stuck a day
That's gray,
And lonely,
I just stick out my chin
And grin,
And say,

Oh, the sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya Tomorrow!

[IKES]
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
Bet your bottom dollar
That tomorrow
There'll be sun!

[PERKINS AND IKES]
Just thinking about
Tomorrow

[ANNIE, PERKINS AND IKES]
Clears away the cobwebs
And the sorrow
'Til there's none!

[ROOSEVELT]
[spoken] Solo for the President .....!
[singing] When I'm stuck with a day
That's gray and lonely
I just stick out my chin
And grin, and say--

[ALL]
The sun'll come out
Tomorrow
So ya gotta hang on
'Til tomorrow
Come what may
Tomorrow!
Tomorrow!
I love ya
Tomorrow!
You're always a day away
Tomorrow! Tomorrow! I love ya, tomorrow
You're always a day away!

STEALIN'

Take me across the water 'cause I need some place to hide.
I done the rancher's daughter and I sure did hurt his pride.

Oo-oo oo-oo ah ah ah
oo-oo oo-oo ah ah ah.

Well, there's a hundred miles of desert lies between his hide and mine.
I don't need no food, no water, Lord, 'cause I'm running out of time.

Fightin', killin', wine and women gonna put me to my grave.
Runnin', hidin', losin', cryin'. nothing left to save
but my life.

Oo-oo oo-oo ah ah ah
oo-oo oo-oo ah ah ah.

Stood on a ridge and stunned religion thinking the world was mine.
I made my break and a big mistake, stealing when I should have been buying.

All that fightin', killin', wine and women gonna put me to an early grave.
Runnin', hidin', losin', cryin', nothing left to save
but my life, life, life, life, life, life, life, life, life.

So I stood on a ridge and stunned religion thinking the world was mine.
I made my break and a big mistake, stealing when I should have been buying.
I was stealing when I should have been buying,
I was stealing when I should have been buying.
STEALING when I should have been buying
STEALING when I should have been buying
STEALING when I should have been buying
STEALING when I should have been buying
STEALING woo
STEALING hahaha, yeh
I was STEALING when I should have been buying
STEALING oh yeh yeh yeh yeh yeh
STEALING oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo-oo
STEALING rock'n'roll, alright
STEALING rock'n'roll, alright
STEALING babe, babe
STEALING should, should, should have been buying
STEALING should, should, should have been buying
STEALING should have, should have, should have been buying
STEALING buying, yeah

My all-time favorite if  "Vinmans brew" by Vinnie Moore. No words at all. the way a song should be!

Well heffay picked one of mine!  Course I like Highway star by deep purple too!

My top 2 would be By Diamondhead.  "helpless" (which was butchered by crapallica or metallica as some call them) and "in the heat of the night".   I dont much care for lyrics, I like the music.

I gotta see you moving fast, see you come my way
See the dreams, I hope they last, never fade away
Gotta see the lights above, make it loud tonight
Gotta set it all on fire, set it all alight

See the flashing lights, hear the thunder roll
I am gonna set you alight
Gotta make it man, I ain't got no choice
Gotta fill this hall tonight

Helpless, Helpless, Helpless, Helpless
Helpless, Helpless, Helpless, Helpless

I don't know what I'm gonna do, maybe not tonight, yeah
Gotta set you all afire, gotta treat you right
I can see the flashing lights, lazer for your love
Gotta hear the thunder roar, coming from above

See the flashing lights, hear the thunder roar
I am gonna set you all alight
Gotta make it man, I ain't got no choice
Gotta fill this hall tonight

Helpless, Helpless, Helpless, Helpless
Helpless, Helpless, Helpless, Helpless

I can see the stars, I can see what's going on
Every night alone, I sing my songs just for fun
Only time will tell if I make it myself someday
The stage is mine, music is my destiny
Cannot squeeze the life from me

I can see the stars, I can see what's going on
Every night alone, I sing my songs just for fun
This business ain't for laughs, business men don't like it so
Helpless maybe babe, but you can still enjoy the show
Cannot squeeze the life from me

Gotta be good, see you tonight
I know that was fine
Gotta be safe, gotta be true
You know that you're mine
Help me now, I'm coming home, ohh
Gotta be fine, gotta be right
You'll set me alight

Help me now, I'm coming home
I can see the band from miles away
Looks so right, feels so tight, oohh
Feels so fine, feels so good. oohh
Makes a man a whole man
Lord it's gonna make my day
Helpless, helpless, oohh
Helpless, helpless, oohh

Steely eyes of a silvery people
Walk behind me, with evil intent.
Up to the tower, I stand alone
Stripped of rank before a throne I am sent.

What befalls us in the heat of the night?
What befalls us in the heat of the night?

Before long, behind adamantine doors,
I taste of the wine of their joy.
Through delirium of a tortured mind
Her face gave me strength to this day.

What befalls us in the heat of the night?
What befalls us in the heat of the night?
In the heat of the night

But love deceived me, and in my despair
I recalled the ring once again
Born of Sorrow my cunning revives me,
And I took them with me enchained

What befalls us in the heat of the night?
What befalls us in the heat of the night?
In the heat of the night

          Little Deuce Coupe
          Shut Down         Beach Boys
Little Old Lady From Pasadena (can never remember if it was the Beach  Boys or Jan & Dean)

          Little GTO           Ripcords
          Hot Rod Lincoln
Beep Beep (for those who don't know, it's about a little Nash Rambler who keeps honking at a
Cadillac and, finally at about 120mph, the Nash Rambler pulls up along side and
asks"Hey Buddy How Can I Get This Car Out Of 2nd Gear?"

What can I say, I happen to like song about cars and motorcycles. ;D Sure, I like lots of others.

My mood today, may change by tomorrow :

Sheets of empty canvas, untouched sheets of clay
Her legs spread out before me, as her body once did
All five horizons revolved around the sun
As the earth to the sun
Now the air I tasted and breathed has taken a turn

Oh, and all I taught her was everything
Oh, I know she gave me all that she wore

And now my bitter hands chafe beneath the clouds of what was everything
Oh, the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything

I take a walk outside
And I'm surrounded by some kids at play
Oh, I can feel their laughter, so why do I sear

Oh, and twisted thoughts that spin round my head
I'm spinning, oh, I'm spinning
How quick the sun can, drop away

And now my bitter hands chained to broken glass of what was everything?
All the pictures have all been washed in black, tattooed everything...
All the love gone bad turned my world to black
Tattooed all I see, all that I am, all I'll ever be...yeah...

I know someday you'll have a beautiful life, I know you'll be the sun
In somebody else's skies, but why
Why, why can't it be, can't it be mine?

Hi - Hi! We're your Weather Girls - Ah-huh -
And have we got news for you - You better listen!
Get ready, all you lonely girls
and leave those umbrellas at home. - Alright! -

Humidity is rising - Barometer's getting low
According to all sources, the street's the place to go
Cause tonight for the first time
Just about half-past ten
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining men.

It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
I'm gonna go out to run and let myself get
Absolutely soaking wet!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Every Specimen!
Tall, blonde, dark and lean
Rough and tough and strong and mean

God bless Mother Nature, she's a single woman too
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do
She taught every angel to rearrange the sky
So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah!
It's Raining Men! Ame---------nnnn!

I feel stormy weather / Moving in about to begin
Hear the thunder / Don't you lose your head
Rip off the roof and stay in bed

God bless Mother Nature, she's a single woman too
She took off to heaven and she did what she had to do
She taught every angel to rearrange the sky
So that each and every woman could find her perfect guy
It's Raining Men! Yeah!

Humidity is rising - Barometer's getting low
According to all sources, the street's the place to go
Cause tonight for the first time
Just about half-past ten
For the first time in history
It's gonna start raining men.

It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men! Amen!
It's Raining Men! Hallelujah! - It's Raining Men!

          Thunder Road    Robert Mitchum...

Wasn't that something like "Whipperwill?"  I seem to remember that he wrote it and sang it.  Regardless, it's a superb movie.

       Burma,

Not sure what you mean by Whipperwill? ??? I mean, the movie was about a moonshiner and as was the song. ??? :-\  Could you elaborate? Now I think Garth Brooks did a song called Thunder Road but, this ain't it. The one I'm talking about came out back in the early to mid 50's.

I'm surprised nobody mentioned this one (although it's missing a few gears ;)):
<edit> Oops- I see Bill440Cars did. Anyway, here's the lyrics!

GO!

I'm gonna wake you up early
'Cause I'm gonna take a ride with you
We're going down to the Honda shop
I'll tell you what were gonna do
Put on a ragged sweatshirt
I'll take you anywhere you want me to

First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster... it's alright

It's not a big motorcycle
Just a groovy little motorbike
Its more fun than a barrel of monkeys
That two wheel bike
We'll ride on out of the town
To any place I know you like

First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster... it's alright

It climbs the hills like a Matchless
'Cause my Honda's built really light
When I go into the turns
Lean with me and hang on tight
I better turn on the lights
So we can ride my Honda tonight

First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster... it's alright

First gear (Honda Honda) it's alright (faster faster)
Second gear (little Honda Honda) I lean right (faster faster)
Third gear (Honda Honda) hang on tight (faster faster)
Faster... it's alright

(Beach Boys/Hondells)

Yeah, it's kinda hokey, but it always makes me think of my bike and smile!  ;D ;D ;D

I also love "Livin' In the USA" by the Steve Miller Band:

Stand back, stand back
Stand back, stand back

Stand back, stand back
Stand back, stand back

Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.

Where are you goin' to
What are you gonna do
Do you think that it will be easy
Do you think that it will be pleasin', hey

Stand back, what'd you say
Stand back, I won't pay
Stand back, I'd rather play
Stand back

It's my freedom
Ah, don't worry 'bout me, babe
I got to be free, babe
Hey

Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.

Stand back, dietician
Stand back, television
Stand back, politician
Stand back, mortician

Oh, we got to get away
Living in the U.S.A.
Come on baby, Owwww

I see a yellow man, a brown man
A white man, a red man
Lookin' for Uncle Sam
To give you a helpin' hand
But everybody's kickin' sand
Even politicians
We're living in a plastic land
Somebody give me a hand, yeah

Oh, we're gonna make it, baby
Oh, we're going to shake it, baby
Oh, don't break it
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah

Come on baby, hey
Hey, hey
In the U.S.A., babe yeah

Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
Don't worry 'bout me, babe
Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
Living in the U.S.A.
Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
I got to be free
Doot do do do do doot doot
Living in the U.S.A.
Yeah, you can try it, you can buy it, you can leave it next week, yeah

All right, we've talked about songs that we like and all that. Now, I want to tell you all about an experience that I had back in 1990. It went like this:

To start this out, let me tell you that I was working for the Army Reserves in a Civil Service job and (by this time) had been a Heavy Mobile Equipment Inspector (Inspecting equipment before scheduled maintenance is done, to see what parts might be needed and ordering them. I also inspected the equipent after the work was done, to ensure that the work was satisfactory. I also inspected equipment that had problem, to determine what parts were needed and then I would order the parts.

An Army Reserve Engineer Battalion had gone down to Honduras to do some road work, rebuild a school house and some other projects. They had finished up their work and were getting ready to return to the U.S. Their equipment had to be inspected and be brought up to standards before being loaded on a ship. about 3 mechanics, another Inspector and myself went there as part of the group of folks, from different parts of the U.S., to do this work. We were down there for about a month, worked 12 hrs aday and (basically) lived in what looked like a "Mash" setting. Slept in a tent like structure with wooden floor and a wood frame under the tarp. We slept on cots. Now they had a PA system, like they did on Mash, that they would start they day (about 7am) with Lee Greenwood singing, "I'm Proud To Be An American" and I have to tell you that I would get One Hell Of A Good Feeling every morning when I'd hear that song. While we were there, we couldn't go much of anywhere without armed guards because of the unrest down there. Some didn't appreciate us (americans) being down there even though the country was getting free help. Now if any of you all have ever been in a situation like, or similar to that, you know what I'm talking about.

Well, that's about it. Now you know why that song has a special meaning for me.

Nothing like jungle living in a tent Bill. The six inch bugs, mildew, chronic crotch rot, all kind of noises in the night, and hostile locals. I hope they paid you well.
Dedicated to Sgt. Howard Bruckner 1950 - 1969. KIA LONG KHANH.

But we were boys, and boys will be boys, and so they will. To us, everything was dangerous, but what of that? Had we not been made to live forever?

Yeah, the pay was a nice amount with O/T. Your comments reminded me of something else too. They emphasized that, before you sat down (in the out side toilet, Ala Primative Porta Potty), hit the seat. They said this because, Scorpions like to get under there and if you've ever been stung by one of those critters, you don't forget very easily. ;D

So many to choose from. I could post enough to rival the "Shameless Post Boost" thread. I'll settle for this one (for now anyway):

RUSH
The Analog Kid

A hot and windy August afternoon
Has the trees in constant motion
With a flash of silver leaves
As they're rocking in the breeze

The boy lies in the grass with one blade
Stuck between his teeth
A vague sensation quickens
In his young and restless heart
And a bright and nameless vision
Has him longing to depart

Chorus
You move me
You move me
With your buildings and your eyes
Autumn woods and winter skies
You move me
You move me
Open sea and city lights
Busy streets and dizzy heights
You call me
You call me

The fawn-eyed girl with sun-browned legs
Dances on the edge of his dream
And her voice rings in his ears
Like the music of the spheres

The boy lies in the grass, unmoving
Staring at the sky
His mother starts to call him
As a hawk goes soaring by
The boy pulls down his baseball cap
And covers up his eyes

Chorus

Too many hands on my time
Too many feelings
Too many things on my mind
When I leave I don't know
What I'm hoping to find
When I leave I don't know
What I'm leaving behind...
Go Cards!! Go Colts!! Go Bucks!!

Weird bikepeople have weird musictaste it seems  ;)

Artist: Edan
Song:   MC's Smoke Crack

[ VERSE 1 ]
Geometric poop: get your #$%* straight
Dictionary director, that means I dictate
Debonnaire drops, a deluxe depiction
You hear the ( ? ) when I flush your fiction
Protooo-typical I tear
The landlord's lyrical, I caught you there
In a state of debate with yourself, it don't help
With true mentalities, I'm fluent, challenge me
I facilitate, rappers are still afraid
Hearts palpitate, great, I rate alpha
Calculate math to ascertain
Various venoms I vent to blast the brain
Into cerebral bits, the needle hits the groove
I ain't got #$%* to prove
To a lyricist drinkin milldew, I still do
Damage, managin bloodcells to spill through
An #$%*'s clothes, a busted up nose
From slick rhyme shadowboxin, big time battle talk
I catastrophically trap a rapper topically
Travel at velocities that avalanche your property
I promptly open arm the potent pathways
To crack eggs on your catch phrase
Pourin rotten milk in the face is how I'm doin em
MC smoke crack, I smoke aluminum

You know what I'm sayin
I smoke aluminum
I smoke aluminum
MC smoke crack, I smoke aluminum
Check it

[ VERSE 2 ]
Shooby-doo-wop, true skills is in your area
Crush cassette decks, wreck your danceteria
Rap relater, rapture that attacks pure
Activator rap pro that slash afros
Can you capture lines I manifacture?
Metaphor mastermind ment to match ya
Merry-go-rounds, the stereo sound, soon it'll find settlement
Celebrating elevating elements
Tell em it's the one with the force of a sun
With a gold that glistens towards solar systems
Twist and turn, you learn I talk tenacious
Laser beam and dream to walk the spaceships
Stars of the galaxy greet the grey granite
Newborn light expands the grand planet
Words circulate to fertilize soil
Kings bring things that murder might spoil
Meanwhile energy bursts through the basement
Distant from districts of displacement
Out of the record you'll arise a raw rhymer
I Rock Gibraltar to smack small timers
The trilogy of talk: tongues, lungs and diaphragms
Pentriloquist with venomous Venn diagrams
Egg yolks in the eyes is how I'm doin em
MC smoke crack, I smoke aluminum

You know
I smoke aluminum
MC's, I smoke aluminum
You can't compete with that
You know
I smoke aluminum

Can't believe no ones posted this..

Ac Dc - Highway To Hell

Living easy, livin' free
Season ticket, on a one - way ride
Asking nothing, leave me be
Taking everything in my stride
Don't need reason, don't need rhyme
Ain't nothing I would rather do
Going down, party time
My friends are gonna be there too

I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell

No stop signs,
speedin' limit
Nobody's gonna slow me down
Like a wheel, gonna spin it
Nobody's gonna mess me 'round
Hey Satan! Paid my dues.
Playin' in a rockin' band
Hey Mama! Look at me
I'm on my way to the promise land

I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell
I'm on the highway to hell
Highway to hell

Dont stop me!
