Blinkers Blow Main Fuse
« on: September 30, 2018, 06:30:58 PM »
I have an odd issue with my cb750.. When I hit the blinkers it blows the main fuse, leaving me stranded. What should I look for?

I have changed the main fuse to a blade style, but I can't see that being the issue

Check all the connections for the wires that run the blinkers.  Probably have a short.

See if the wire harness is chafing on the steering neck.

Did you happen to change the stock bars or controls? These are the leading causes to create the symptoms listed above.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

If it happens on left and right, look for common components. Handlebar switch?
