I recently bought a 79' cb650, I can't find anything on that why this has a DOHC engine in it. Do you guys believe it has a later model engine in it?

It's either that or it's not actually a '79.

Pictures would help. Was there a 79 DOHC?

Im pretty sure the engine mounts are very different so I don’t think it would be an easy swap.

It says OHC. That’s a single cam engine. You belong here
