Is flashing timing light a prove that ignition works - i.e. there is a spark?

Sorry for dumb question, troubleshooting

Yes. I often start with this. It won't tell you if there is arcing through a cracked boot, or if the timing is correct, but at least you know a spark is being generated otherwise there would be nothing to trigger the light.

Thank you, Wilbur.  I am just not sure anymore, spent 8 hours last night trying to get my jeep on the road

Oh, yeah, turned out to be a pretty nice day here. We have friends and family on the coast in the panhandle that "rode it out". Fortunately they were just west of the center of the storm and they fared well.

I wish everyone else would have had the same luck.
