Brakes not breaks :)
« on: November 17, 2018, 08:17:38 PM »
Hi, the brake on my 750 has been dragging pretty bad so I took it apart. Was wondering if the pads and piston is reusable or if there junk and need replaced? Piston had some crud and I tried polishing it up but there still a few pits.

I've used worse in a pinch but a new piston and seal would be the ideal way to go.   Manuel said so in the manual ::)   But..................... he was speaking out the side of his helment....

If a piston isn't in your budget, at least get a new seal.   Larry

+1 ...put it back together and test in a safe area with no traffic,  all good? there ya go

p.s. these brakes are super #$%*ty even when working perfectly
If it works good, it looks good...
