RARE Rupp 440 motorcycle

Came across this cool old motorcycle.  Has anyone ever seen one of these? I can't fine anything.

Is that something Rupp built or is it home built around a snowmobile?

That is what I'm trying to figure out. I see know mention of such a machine on the Rupp pages. Possibly, a prototype. Or a custom build machine, it has the CVT transmission.  It is so cool.

Custom build around a 440 (probably Fuji) snowmobile engine.
