It sounds like our paths may have crossed a few times during your trip. I was in Cape Town 10/17 to 10/30 and also made it up to Pretoria to see Kevin.
Were the Jackaranda trees still in bloom when you arrived? They were in full bloom when I was there. Pretty amazing.

So sorry to have missed you! Kevin showed me your excellent CB400 book- you should sell it on here for Xmas I’d buy it :)

Yes the Jackanda trees were still in bloom and we got lots of photos of them. Amazing to see. We were very fortunate to see as much as we did.

I think we both want to buy Kevin’s carbon fiber CB400 :)
