Hi..Need some advice please... on the best way to make sure i've got oil to critical parts of the engine while i'm turning it over manually.
Just bought a Cb750k5 for restoration. Cleaned carbs (what a job that was..!), oil and filter, look inside bores with scope, new plugs, new battery and ready for its first attempt at starting it.
No spark..or a VERY weak one...
So don't want to damage my engine while i'm trying to sort a spark.
The sump is now dry due to oil change.
I'm going to feed some to the cam through tappet covers...
Is it worth feeding some oil through the port next to points cover....where does this go? mains....big ends?
Any other places i can feed oil into the engine?
The motor does turn over freely but hasn't been run for a LONG time.
Any advice gratefully received...
Cheers
Phil
