getting impatient, wanted to see what it looked like with more pieces.  Good thing, 'cause
I realized I have no lic. plate light.  It will be part of the seat circuit so there will be only one plug for the seat.

Thanks, It's taken quite a while.  the more I get finished, the more stuff there is still to do!
Silly Question:  If the fender is mounted to the swing arm to be close to the tire, it seems it should be adjustable fore and aft to accommodate chain stretch...am I overthinkin' it?

Technically that would be the ideal setup, but pretty tricky to accomplish.  I have done a few 'Huger style' rear Fenders mounted to the swing arm, and usually design them to just clear the tire when it's fully adjuster forward (where it's never actually likely to be) then just let the gap increase to where it ends up when the chain tension is properly set. Overall the gap never seemed extreme or unsightly. Also if the fender is painted black, it tends to blend in with the tire anyway.

Well, we'll have to see if I can make one that works.

Just saw the “snorkel” arrangement. Looks very clever! The stuff nobody ever sees is often the best.

Thanks, I'm excited to finish it, to test my ideas, but bummed that my arthritis will prevent me from riding it more than a few minutes.

Time to update this thread and finish the project.
Fender worked pretty good, but I wish I had made it wider to start with.

After test rides, I can report the intakes mods seem to work quite well.  The seat was a real adventure in material handling, but it’s on and rideable.

Just gotta remember to look down to be sure turn signals aren’t left on.
