I argue very well. Ask any of my remaining friends. I can win an argument on any topic, against any opponent. People know this, and steer clear of me at parties. Often, as a sign of their great respect, they don't even invite me.

Adam and Eve had an ideal marriage. He didn't have to hear about all the men she could have married, and she didn't have to hear about the way his mother cooked.

2000 B.C. - Here, eat this root.1000 A.D. - That root is heathen. Here, say this prayer.1850 A.D. - That prayer is superstition. Here, drink this potion.1940 A.D. - That potion is snake oil. Here, swallow this pill.1985 A.D. - That pill is ineffective. Here, take this antibiotic. 2000 A.D. - That antibiotic is artificial. Here, eat this root

A certain man had invited the pastor and his wife for dinner, and it was little Joey's job to set the table. But when it came time to eat, Joey's mother said with surprise, "Why didn't you give Mrs. Brown a knife and fork dear?". "I didn't think I needed to," Joey explained, "I heard Daddy say she always eats like a horse

A clergyman had just enjoyed a hearty chicken dinner at the home of a rural parishioner. Gazing out the window, he remarked: "That rooster seems a mighty proud and happy bird.""He should," the host replied. "His oldest son just entered the ministry.

A dog thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... They must be Gods! A cat thinks: Hey, these people I live with feed me, love me, provide me with a nice warm, dry house, pet me, and take good care of me... I must be a God!

A Dutchman was explaining the red, white, and blue Netherlands flag to an American. "Our flag is symbolic of our taxes. We get red when we talk about them, white when we get our tax bills, and blue after we pay them." The American nodded. "It's the same in the USA only we see stars too.

A father said to his son, "When Abe Lincoln was your age, he was studying books by the light of the fireplace."The son replied, "When Lincoln was your age, he was President.

A French guest, staying in a hotel in Edmonton phoned room service for some pepper."Black pepper, or white pepper?" asked the concierge."Toilette pepper.
A friend was in front of me coming out of church one day, and the preacher was standing at the door as he always is to shake hands. He grabbed my friend by the hand and pulled him aside. The pastor said, "You need to join the Army of the Lord!" My friend said, "I'm already in the Army of the Lord, Pastor." Pastor questioned, "How come I don't see you except at Christmas and Easter?" He whispered back, "I'm in the secret service.".

After the birth of their child, an Episcopal priest, wearing his clerical collar, visited his wife in the hospital. He greeted her with a hug and a kiss, and gave her another hug and kiss when he left. Later, the wife's roommate commented: "Your pastor is sure friendlier than mine

Not at all. Welcome aboard. Send pics of your riding experiences in the US.

And any time you want to just talk, be happy in the knowledge that although we seem like a bunch of ruffty tuffty riders (can't call ourselves 'bikers' because we don't ride you-you-what) we all also have our sensitive side.

For evidence of that see how many pages of posts were devoted to Steve Irwins unfortunate demise.

Where are you staying in America? If you get to Kansas, stop in! You can help me put my F3 together.

Honestly, if you're coming in the spring, Kansas would be a good place to avoid, unless you want free airfare to Oz. (and I don't mean home...)  It's twister season soon.  Trust me, I'm in Okiehoma and it's even worse. ;D ;D

Honestly, it's good to have you on the forum.  I'm always in favor of more women riding.  It's a shame that more of them won't even try it.  I even bought my wife a bike, she rode it twice and then hung it up.  Decided it wasn't for her and I had to sell it.

Nice meeting you.

Rsnip I'm actually going to be in america 3 months so start in LA and end up in Texas.

Orcinus nice to meet you, I can understand why your wife dosent want to ride, I think at times the weight and height and the feeling of being quite vulnerable to everything when youre riding , can be a little scary, tho lot of us girls wont admit it. We tend to ride no faster than we feel capable and safe at.  Everyone needs to feel a certain amount of control , a car and such gives us the feeling and safety we like, a bike leaves us open and vulnerable. That I believe is why many woman dont ride.

I've got a co-worker who's wife decided that she wanted to learn, so she signed herself up for a motorcycle course, got her license, and then took over my bud's new 1300 cruiser.  She certainly knew what she wanted and how to get it.  My friend didn't even get to go riding with her till she was all finished with getting her license.  I guess she didn't want him seeing her ride, that way he wouldn't criticize.  Of course the bright side of this story is, while he lost his 4 month old 1300, she let him go out and buy a even newer 1800!  Now they ride everywhere.   ;D  My wife is content to ride with me, she just isn't comfortable with doing the driving.  Seems to be a dislike of Hand clutching and foot shifting that bothers her.  I even offered to find her a Hondamatic, but she says "no dice".
