CB 750 K1-K6 FRAME VIN DATA PLATE COLOR

Hello, I'm planning frame off restoration on 750 K1 and K6; I know data plates are available in black, I'm not sure but I think it was brown until 1972 or 73. It would be helpfull if you have any idea of correct matching. Thanx. :)

Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

I think the color fades. They were black.

Thanx. Yes I'm in France but Bikes are US imported with original VIN plate on frame.
I've seen several brown plates on earlier CB 750 and they did'nt seem to have fade,
 the brown color was the same on all of them.

Black anodized like the master cylinder   fades like the master cylinder ..sometimes..
