Carb rebuilding
« on: November 29, 2018, 08:23:12 AM »
I have tried to PM Harisuluv several times regarding a re-furb of K2 carbs. No answer. Does anyone know if he is still in business?

I've heard he has been gone for a while. Are you sure you don't want to do them yourself? They are not that hard to do. How bad are they?

Clean them might be enough?
Remove float bowls, floats and let them swim in diesel or similar for a week or 2 with main jet removed. If you can remove the pilot jets, remove them too as well as the air screws.
Easier to clean them without return spring closing the throttles.

Think this might still work as a usable carb?

Carb cleaner spray works miracles. I bought an ultrasonic cleaner off Amazon for 70 quid. Worth its weight whilst I was cleaning my carbs which had 20 years of crap and sludge.

Life is too short for that. I want an expert, not a nincompoop like myself doin it. Think I'll go with Hondaman. He did my K1 carbs tp perfection

You could try Mike Nixon at https://motorcycleproject.com/ He is one of the best in the world at Honda carbs. He is in Prescott AZ and does fantastic job.
He will bench tune them so that you can bolt them on set the idle and forget about them. Very fast turnaround this time of year.
