Topic: Any xbox expert here?

 the xbox 360 slim of my son stop working the other day( Red dot)
After some research i decide to buy another one. My problem is,on my first xbox i had games that was downloaded in it,i thought i just have to take my hard drive and install it on the new one...but its not that simple!
The new xbox don't want to play the games,is it possible to transfert my games on the "new" xbox?

I don't know if my explanation are clear!? If not,let me know

It looks like you basically have two options (without going rogue).

If you've been using cloud saves and don't actually need any info off the old hard drive you can just re-download the games you purchased before.

If you actually need the data from the old hard drive then you can transfer it from the old one to the new one using a transfer cable.

My problem is,when i bought the first xbox(used also) all the games was  in it already. Can i still do what you said?

You definitely can't re-download the games since they're not associated with your profile, and I'm pretty sure you can't even transfer them from the old hard drive because that would involve moving them from one profile to another.  Try the xbox360 forum on reddit.

I installed my old hard drive in the new xbox. I can see all the games that i had but i can't play with them.
