anti gravity gel battery charger??
« on: December 09, 2018, 12:52:37 PM »
hey everyone,

i recently bought the 8 cell anti gravity lithium battery and i was looking for a charger to get for the winter/storage time.

does anyone know a decent charger? i know they have to be very specific or i will damage the battery.

how does this one look?

there is also "noco genius" chargers which seem a bit less expensive but i dont know which are compatible. :/

thanks in advance

Any lithium-ion charger will do. I like Battery Tender brand, which is Li-ion specific (the particular model I have, some are lead acid specific).

They recommend the Optimate charger. Call them and they will point you to the best charger for their batteries.

Due to the low self-discharge rate of lithium batteries, a "maintenance" type charger is not needed. They can sit for months and still measure well over 13 volts, provided there are no parasitic drains, like the ECU on a modern bike.
Don't fix it if it ain't broke!

Yep, I use Optimate chargers on all my bikes, they are the bomb. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"
