this is interesting guys. It might be a jewel or a piece of #$%^ . It sure looks rough but if the internals are good then who knows

A power washer would strip that paint right off. For $100 that'd be a decent buy for someone with a 750.

I saw that a while back.  The tappet cover for #4 is missing and there is a lot of rust and tons of aluminum corrosion in there. I have to assume the valve train is shot and with several valves in the open postion the cylinders are rusted up. If that engine had been wrapped in plastic it probably wouldn't be that bad it was left exposed to the Florida/N Carolina humidity for years. Too bad.

I bought an engine off ebay that was supposed to have the big bore, cam, porting, etc. I have a stock engine on the floor to show for it! >:( >:( Ebay did nothing to help me out and the cops did less! The engine did have good retainers and a webcam 63a. The rest was junk. The porting was so bad I can't even use it.
Be carefull about buying engines on ebay, People don't usually know what they have, might be the real deal but I would think someone would have taken better care of it if it where a Rickman
The thing about common sense is that, it's not that common.
