CB750 SOHC vs. CBX750 RC17
« on: December 30, 2018, 12:02:07 PM »
Not actually a competition, but I'm trying to find out about exhausts. I completely realise they are totally different bikes and in particular, engines, but there are sometimes surprising commonalities between different Hondas.

Does anyone know if the exhaust headers are interchangeable between these 2 models?

I'm really just trying to establish the outlet style, size and angle of each to determine if the headers of one could be mounted on the head of the other. It's a long shot, but there's always a chance and currently I have no way to try this myself. Can anyone enlighten me?

No idea what the other bike looks like, but I will say this,
In order to fit the other bike must have a slanted forward top end like cb 750.
And it has to be splayed exhaust.. I.e. they don't come straight out.

Boys from down under may know more.  The CBX750 was never sold in USA. I had one myself - but in Czech Republic.

I believe CB700 in America was a close relative to CB750.
