M-Unit Troubleshooting/Aux 2 flashing

Hello all, I got my ‘76 CB550f Back from the shop and there seems to be something wrong with the m-unit. The input side of Aux-2 is flashing, all other lights on the unit are off. There are also some times that the m-unit will not power up at all. Seems random. On the occasion that it does power up properly, I can use some buttons by just touching them and not actually pressing which leads me to believe it’s a grounding issue.. the answer to all this probably lies in knowing what a flashing Aux-2 means. Thanks in advance!

Bad battery voltage or poor ground.

The battery reads 11.67. Too low?

What buttons are you using? Some momentary buttons activate the MU differently with different push sequences. Press and hold, you get a function. Press and release, a different function from the same button.

A motone 3 button switch like this. It’s being activated/deactivated literally if I just touch it.

Sounds like your wires behind the switch are loose. Probably need to carefully loosen the housing and check the wires. If they’re loose, they’ll constantly be activating functions on the MU and cause battery (or other) issues.
