I found this on Cycle X 's website. "Engine Case Main Bearing Alignment Repair". Under machine shop service.
This sounds like the hand operated tool I was trying to explain to you, our local guy used here +30 years ago. He never could get me to use it, because I didn't see how it was more accurate than an align hone. He claimed too, it only removed high spots that prevented free crankshaft rotation from fully torqued mains. Green cases thing....? Don't know if it's causing your tight spot...?
