pro-lift brand motorcycle stand
« on: January 22, 2007, 08:20:03 PM »
I saw a Pro-lift motorcycle stand at a local pawn shop. It says 4 ton capacity, but I can't find any pro-life mc models online other than 3 ton capacity.

As with all pawn shops, the asking price is absurd, but they can easily be talked down. They are asking $139, but a new 3 ton model can be had for the same price.

Does anyone know about a 4 ton model? It is a little overkill, but the more lift the safer I suppose.

Well, I went back into the pawn shop today (with the motocross stand I had recently picked up cheap to use in trade). I talked the guy down a lot and was able to get this hydraulic lift on layaway. Now if I can explain to my wife why I need two jacks!  :D

That's pretty funny.  In my house, it's the wife suggesting we need another jack! (She wants her bike off it's wheels for the winter; no center stand on her Shadow.)   :D

Maybe we get my wife to explain to your wife... ;)
