Not a watch, a clock. I inherited this thing from an Aunt. It was made in England in the 1700's and was originally a one handed clock which were the norm before 2 handed clocks. Thought I had hit the jackpot with it until I paid a guy in England for a valuation. Because it had been changed from a one day winder to a weekly winder (2 handed) and the elaborately carved case was not original it is worth S.F.A. Might be able to buy a pizza and a few beers if I sold it. Now it sits in a shed in shame.

i have kollekted old clocks for some years..and they are not mutch vorth..junghans uren..more then 100 years is only
a few 100 euros vorth. in good form...or even less..ships clocks a bit more..amerikaner uhren vith glass paintings and vaight driven..same low preis..even they are fantastic nice looking

you can easy get a vall clock for 20 euro..it then need a klean up..and lube..and some polishing and adjusting...2 pullyes is time and half time..3 pullyes is melodi at full auer half and kvarter auer just a short klemt..but it gets a bitt disturbing..ringing through the night..it can be turn off.

the 8sq ship clock..had survived a sinking by a germen u boat in 1916..my grand father vas Kaptain on a fraighter ..delever mine shaft vood..from sveden to England..they vas sunk in the baltic sea..
the bad thing is that the mecanik clockverk is thanged to a modern..but still a historic clock

Is is worth something Dave, however only a fraction of what it'd be worth in original condition.

Some very neat clocks and watches. Seems like our fascination for things mechanical extends to all the same areas. My mother brought this watch back from Italy in the very early ‘70s. I was 18 or 19 and it was a Christmas present from her and my Aunt (she had a jewelry store). OMEGA MOON WATCH was/is the official NASA watch. Look closely and you will see the blue and red stamp that signified the first USA and Russian space mission..... worn it every day since.

It needs a new crystal again, I should stop wearing it in the Shop. Every time I visit an OMEGA dealer, it costs me $100’s!!!!

Not sure it is in the vintage category (early 80's), but found this jewel yesterday in an old box.
Can't believe I actually used this at work!

You could sell that to someone in Willamsburg for at least 300 bucks.

I've had a few variations of that watch, some had the "telememo" where you could store phone numbers and other data in them.  I also have a CASIO camera watch.  Problem with that watch, you had to buy their software and cable to download B&W photos and it was crazy expensive.  First digital watch was a TIMEX with the red LED display.

You didn't need a pocket protector to get into the nerd club when you wore one of these bad boys on your belt!
Definitely pre-smartphone!,,,,,or even handheld calculator for that matter!

I stopped wearing a watch years ago.  I still have a box of them, but haven't had them out in a long time. I do have a couple from the 50s

But my favorite one was one of these;

A friend of mine bought two of those gas station watches, so when the battery went dead on one, he'd have the other one to use.
