Illinois/Michigan/Wisconsin/Ohio Summer events
« on: January 17, 2019, 02:56:47 PM »
Somebody FINALLY put some coordination to scheduling this year.

Gilmore VMD in Michigan (6/8 and 6/9), Motoblot in Chicago (6/22 -6/23), Mid-Ohio VMD (7/5 - 7/8), and Rockerbox in Wisconsin (7/26-7/28)are all on different weekends. Rockerbox and Gilmore have historically been the same weekend in June so I have had to choose one or the other.

Based on my schedule at this time I think I can make it to all 4 events this year. Mid-Ohio will celebrate the CB750 50th anniversary, so it should be extra special and I am planning on making it part of a ~2 week trip that will take me to Indiana, North and South Carolina, and Tennessee in addition to Ohio.

Heck maybe I can find time for Barber in October. That would make for one heck of a summer.

I'm waiting for our race schedule but am planning to go to Mid Ohio. We are negotiating an early Super Comp race at Joliet again this year. June 15/16 I think is our 5K to win race at Byron, That's a nice ride along the river.

I'm really hoping to make it out to Gilmore VMD this year.  That would be the first long distance ride since I got the 75 F0 back on the road last year.  Still need to tweak a few things this winter before I attempt that trip though.  It would be a good warm-up/shakedown for Mid-Ohio.

I'm in the same spot. Never got the F1 out for any decent mileage last year, but this year I want to wear out the tires.

Thanks Sean.

I'm definitely in for Gilmore this year. My plan is to ride up Friday so I can do the Saturday morning ride. If I can get my act together and repaint the bike I might enter it into the show too.

Enter it in the show anyway...cheapest way to get in and get a good parking spot.  Show is not limited to "nice bikes" in any way
