Engine stand.
« on: January 30, 2019, 06:49:07 PM »
If anyone has a picture of a simple engine stand for their 750 that they have made to hold the engine while working on it on a bench top, I would be most interested to see.
Thank you.

TC bros seels one for like $40. Makes bench top assembly a breeze.
All you gotta do is do what you gotta do.

Sounds like a bargain and I probably would buy one if I lived in the U.S. However postage to Tasmania would likely be 3 times the price of the stand. Thanks for the tip but really just interested to see an example or 2 so I can try and bodge one up myself.

Er, maybe it's obvious, but why not go to TC Bros' site to take a look at the stand?

Moe....... try and visit the “Proven Tricks and Tips” area of this Forum. Click on “Tools” and one of the first few topics on the page is “Engine stand adapter”. Several good ideas that prompted me to make my own. I used two pieces of 2X2” angle iron bolted to a used auto type engine stand. Two long 7/16” threaded rods through the back of the engine (and the angle iron) and I was in business. No use for splitting case, but great for most other jobs......... Have a look there. John D.

Cobbled up this one today out of things that were lying around. Looks a bit agricultural but should do the job.
