'77 CB400F clutch cable - where to buy in US?
« on: February 02, 2019, 03:25:08 PM »
Done some searching, but coming up empty - where can I buy the '77 (high bars) CB400F clutch cable in the US?  I believe it's part # 22870-377-710.  I'm hoping to find one that I can combine an order for some other stuff with...  So far I have only found one for sale at partsnmore.com, but they're in Canada and the shipping doubles the cost.

A lot of older posts show sources which no longer stock this cable...

Have you tried Dave Silver as he has a US warehouse now
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Bryan, you never sleep, do you?  ;D

Neither of Dave Silver's sites (US and UK) lists a clutch cable for my bike... I'm thinking of asking over on the UK forum to see what's available there, even if it means shipping across the pond...

Maybe they can order it, I haven't asked.  I really appreciate your suggestion, but I don't have access to the bike right now, so I can't take any measurements at the moment.  When I can get to it, I'll remove the cable and get the specifics...

Check with yamiya750.com. Not in the US but I'd bet you would receive it quicker than a US supplier and at a decent cost.
As of today 3/13/2012 my original owner 75 CB750F has made it through 3 wives, er EX-wives. Free at last.  ;-)

Good tip... but, sold out!  I wonder how long it takes for them to restock...

FYI - just because non-concluded threads are a pet peeve of mine...  I got what I needed on ebay, from an individual (rather than a bulk seller or store)...
