CB550K1 MC anc caliper rebuild - cleaning

Just wondering, if it would be safe to put MC and Cylinder into ultrasonic bath to clean? Anybody tried? No risk to destroy paint?
The same for hoses is it safe to put them into ultrasonic bath?

Depends on what fluid you use: some solvents will dissolve paint, of course. Aqueous solutions should be no problem. The ultrasonic action is not going to strip paint.
And rubber brake lines 40 years old are due for replacement.
