Yeah, feels like it might be a late Spring!  I'm also in Kenosha County (just west of you in Trevor)!

You can also go the Vermont title route.  Worked great for me in MD.  A brief overview is available here:

Note that for a 550 you'll need a local cop to do a VIN verification form.
