 You needed better hot glue. I've pulled worse than that with a wooden bridge, hot glue and 5/16" toilet hold down bolts.
No matter how many times you paint over a shadow, it's still there.

I ended up pushing it out with some bent rebar

A far better, more controlled method.

Thanks! In the pics it has a white primer, but I think Iā€™m gonna keep the white color. So white paint then a gloss clear coat to finish it off! The emblems are gold to go with the other gold accents that are gonna be on my bike!

White paint comes out better over a grey primer. You get a more true color in the end to the color you choose.
