C-70 passport
« on: February 16, 2019, 06:16:48 AM »
Has anyone seen the custom moped/scooter scene???
I've been looking at creations and parts for these Honda Passport mopeds lately and unless a SOHC CB750 or another genny RHS Sporty bites my arse I gotta have one.

What do you guys think about these. I've also seen some great more cafe style builds as well.

I have seen and ridden these these in Malaysia and Thailand. Hi hen there, was fully motivated to build one. Returned home bought one C70 and after few months gave up and it sits in corner of garage.

Guess when there, surrounded by such beautiful builds one feels like owning one and scene changes once back.

If you are thinking, please build one. I still have some contactsthat we’re willing to ship various parts (probably at 1/10th of cost).

All the best.

Some inspiring reference shots

I haven't found one fet but I'd be willing to have some parts sent to be ready and keep me wanting to build one.
That was a big obstacle I was wondering how I would overcome was getting some of the cool parts for them as I'm not a good enough fabricator to make everything yet.

In that case it is much cheaper to import a fully done bike

I was going to buy one for 3200$ but then I couldn’t get one from 70s and bringing one to Canada needs to be of certain age

For example I was getting brand new two wheels laced on hubs with tyres and tubes for just over 100$. I recently paid 75$ just in labor for lacing a wheel here

All i really need ordered is the hardtail kit and maybe a set of wheels. Seens some since springers for then too but I really like the stock front end on them.

Thank you!
I tried to reach out to a few companies but the language Barrier prevented that for working.

Yes that’s the issue with them especially for distant deals. I was standing in the shop in KL and without one word of conversation bought parts for 300$ that would have easily costed me 1000$ or more here.

Sellers who can read/ write English, sell on eBay and charge high prices but still reasonable

Do you have more information on this? A source? Is this an option for the US, too?

I’m on it
Searched through few boxes but no luck so far. I know I’ll find but may take time to go through storage once this cold wave goes away
