cognito moto air box not sitting right...

i just bought the cognito moto airbox for my 77 cb750k.. on initial start up was pretty sweet. still need a bit of tuning.. but im having a fitment issue on the box/carb itself.. cant get it to sit all the was down on top of the carbs. only one side is fitting all the way.

anyone have any experience with this piece?

Unless this is the start of a complete project build, you might want to move it to SOHC4 bikes.

I put one on a bike I did for a friend. It did not push on the carbs all the way to that final raised grove you see. I squared it up so it did not fit crooked and pushed it on as far as I could. Then I tightened the mounting Allen bolts.

thanks davez... i just finished doing the same.. used a rubber mallet to just snug it down as far as possible.. should hold up fine!

Mine fit all the way down on 78 CB550K.  Make sure the allen bolts are backed off all the way.
