I ran into a local man yesterday with two CB750k's for sale
« on: February 22, 2019, 05:34:25 AM »
(Chesapeake, VA) I was out riding and a man got out of truck at the light to yell, "550 or 750!?"  I was on my 75 CB750k.  He told me to follow him to his house where he had a 71' cb750k and a 75' cb750k sitting there looking pretty.  The 71' had saddlebags, forward controls, floor boards... and I guess the guy he bought it from a few years back was having parts chromed.  The swingarm was chromed, which was pretty cool.

Unfortunately neither of the bikes had the stock exhaust system.  Both had 4 into 2's.  He had an extra set of 4 into 2 pipes (said they were new), tank, carbs and lots of parts.  Both bikes had right around 20k miles on them.

He had a custom design made on the sissy bar of the 75'.  Pretty cool, you have to look closely but you will see the " 750 4" and "k5".

He wants 4k for everything.  My money is tight but if this stuff is still available in the spring time then I may do it.  I have some photos I will be attaching...

I can't figure out pictures.  Here's imgur link: https://imgur.com/a/83aMQaT

Not a lot of room in his garage so the photos aren't that great.

That Planet Blue 75 looks pretty unmolested and nice. Meet the nicest people on a Honda !!  Did the K1 still have original paint ?

He said the PO had the  saddlebags painted to match a different year's tank and sidecovers.  The original tank and side covers were pulled and stored.  He said the side covers were cracked from storing though.

I don't see a 71 , both have 75 style signals, and one looks like F styled headlight mounts .
 Blue tank looks good.

That's good then if it has correct motor,
I feel they are a bit more value and desired.

I was thinking the same thing - wrong triple clamp/gauges, seat lights, Lester mags.  Under the chrome engine covers it appears to have the older cylinder head still on it though.
