Painting/Coating Recessed Areas (CB750) on the Valve Cover
« on: February 22, 2019, 08:54:05 AM »
I tried several searches and just can't find the answer - what are folks using to paint/coat the recessed CB750 or for that matter the HONDA on the alternator cover?

I used black powder coat for this a couple of years ago and then clear powder on the entire covers, and it looks real good on the alternator & gear selector covers!  The clear coat on the valve cover started to spider crack after several miles and then started bubbling later on.  I've since pulled the engine and am redo'ing the valve cover, just wondering what to do with the recessed CB750

Acetone washed surface, VHT Engine enamel, a model brush, and a very steady hand...
