This actually happened to me! One of my bikes had the brake light coming FULL ON whenever I turned on the ignition. Checked switches (both working) and then started pulling apart the main harness. Took me a while to realize that the brake light (day time running lights, always on) filament had burned out, dropped down, and fused to the tail light filament. Every time I switched “on”, they BOTH came on.......
