CB350F wiring question
« on: February 21, 2019, 05:12:51 PM »
When I was reinstalling my wiring harness onto my 350F and re-connecting everything, I came across 3 different wires that didn't seem to go anywhere.  I checked all my connections again, but to no avail.  I have a solid brown and a solid black in the headlight bucket, and a solid green back near the flasher relay.  I have the original wiring diagram from the service manual, and it appears that all of these are not connected to any other wires.  I can see on the diagram where they originate from but they just dead end, or so it appears.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The brown wire is for the pilot light US models did not have. The green near the flasher is often not connected. Always consult the appropiate wiring diagram for your specific model.

The extra black in the bucket may be switched power for the horn, it may just be a spare. The brown is for the "parking lamp", a small bulb in some headlight reflectors... comes on whenever the tail light is on, not noticeable with the main headlight bulb on but also comes on with keyswitch in "P" for the basically never used parking light.
The green by the flasher is for a 3-terminal flasher, not a bad idea for everyone (the flash rate is more stable) and usually necessary for LED signals.
