Best place for top end 78CB750K parts?
« on: February 21, 2019, 09:35:11 AM »
I'm in the middle of a full overhaul on my 1978 cb750k
Pretty much the insides are ruined, I can get away with keep the valves the way they are but the guides have to be replaced (way too much play for my comfort)
I'm going to order new pistons (+kit ) just because I'm right at the edge and with honing the inside, I might as well just go up.
It looks like Honda reissued the Cam Tensioner and guide so I'm good to go there.

Before I go and order everything from Cycle X
What do you guys recommend for a supplier?

You could "get away with it" but when I replace the guides I have the seats ground too.

also check that the stems of the valves aren't worn too, could be part of the valve guide slop
