I remember some threads about original red paint a while back. It looks like this is only a small can of touch up
paint, but it may be helpful to someone here. The seller also has some other original colors for sale. I've bought
parts from this guy before and things worked out well (fast shipping, item as advertised, good packing).

Would old paint like that be of any use?  Even if you had enough I was wondering if actually painting your bike with it would be possible?

I can't say if it would be of any real use on a bike. One way it could be useful is for a reference. I think if you were trying to do a correct restoration, a good shop could use it to match the color.
