CB750: Long & Short blocks ?
« on: March 03, 2019, 12:20:24 PM »
HI
CycleX is advertising that they have CB750 Four Long and Short block motors for sale.
What exactly is are these things? The all have gearboxes attached (unlike AT&SF with it's chopped-off gearboxes and blanked-off crankcases).

I could ask CycleX but while I'm here...

regards
Thomas

Typically in automotive the difference is either having the head and/or associated parts in some cases or no head/manifold/or oil pan. Short block would be everything below the head gasket and sometimes it includes an oil pan.

I can't speak for cycle x but my guess is head vs. no head and maybe a few other things.
