Hi all... picked up a 900c custom at the weekend almost mint cond 51,000 miles like most CBs they are cold dogs at cold starts, mixture idle screws 2.5 turns out, anyone else got one here in Cali.... i read that you can shim the needle valve for better cold start/running or should i forget about it

Those are great looking machines. The (900 Motor is smooth & has good power.  enjoy it.

I have one.  It starts well it just needs the choke.

Mine was parked outside under cover and did not run since mid December. I put it on battery tender to make sure the battery is fulll and yesterday was bit warmer - 38 or so - and with choke she started after 10 seconds.
